Hundreds Go Deaf At and Around Lakeland Revival
Over the past few weeks, reports of deafness have surfaced from those either attending the Lakeland Revival or those hearing about the historic event. These two-hundred or so reports are all similar in narrative, as people testify of hearing a loud, long, and obnoxious clanging or gonging noise and then Bam!, silence.
Mary Kay Holcomb of Stephensville, West Virginia had this to say: “Not too long ago I was saved from my sins at First Baptist Church Stephensville. On April 29, I was at the revival minding my own business. I wasn’t shaking or groaning or laughing or anything. Suddenly the ‘drunken’ lady sitting next to me said, ‘What’s wrong with you? Why aren’t you manifesting? Aren’t you spiritual, or are you just one of those ignorant River skeptics?’ She then continued to berate me and soon all I could hear was a really, really loud clanging noise. Within a matter of minutes, I went deaf.”
On April 22, Ginny Strupe of Tampa, Florida testified: “I was at church last Sunday and told a few people there that I had concerns about Todd Bentley’s teachings, especially the one about Emma the beautiful female angel who was sent to make Christians rich. The next thing I knew our youth pastor started demeaning me, saying, ‘How dare you speak against this anointed man of God! He’s being used mightily! I mean, who are you to talk anyway? You’re just a measly secretary for a piddly little law firm. Has God ever used you to start a revival or heal people of cancer or do anything really big? No! You’re just a rebellious, unused little laysheep who needs some water, so get off your big, size 18 butt and go to Lakeland and let Todd give you some. Quit thinking for yourself; that’s what pastors and five-fold ministers like me are for!’ Then he kept going on and on about not touching God’s anointed, and as he did, his words all sounded like a clanging noise or gonging sound and by the time I left church I was deaf as a doornail.”
Trevor Stickley of Lakeland said this in a Tampa Tribune interview yesterday: “I work at a convenience store close to the revival grounds. Two nights ago some revival attendees came in laughing and jerking weirdly. Then when I told them we were out of Marlboro cigarettes, one of them, the one who was jerking the most, started cussing me out. When he got to saying the ‘F’ word, immediately I heard a loud, screeching gong noise, a noise so loud I went deaf for one whole night.”
While these strange anti-miracles remain a mystery, one minister in Los Angeles believes it’s prophetic symbolism. This morning Emma Goldgry, senior pastor of Refuge Church, wrote this on her wildly popular blog Soldier in the Humilitary, “1 Corinthians 13 says that without love, the utilization or manifestation of spiritual gifts is tantamount to a loud gong being played. It effects you but in a wrong, very negative way. When some of these revivalees promote this move yet do not walk in love, they’re like a big noisy gong going off. These people, including the leaders involved, need to remember that without love, revival is just noise. They also need to be aware of Satan’s slick tricks: he will tempt them to walk in the flesh while witnessing about God’s glorious presence so that the whole thing, Christianity, and even God will be discredited. He will also tempt them to overlook bad doctrine in the name of big gifts/anointings and revival. Oh, how I’d like to take the Shepherd’s Rod of Bob Jones and smack Todd Bentley’s hiney for some of the teachings he’s infusing into the Body. Where are the discerning elders who should be chastising this young man so his gift can be a true blessing with no sorrow attached to it? Are they off eating with man-pleasing Peter at the Jews-only table? Yes, where are the God-pleasers in this thing? Is not our loyalty to be given to God first and foremost?”
As for Ms. Holcomb and Mrs. Strupe, they remain deaf and will attend the revival tonight in hopes of getting healed.
Of course, the above article is satire but bams! of truth…
Father God, help us love one another during this difficult time. Help the Lakeland revival attendees and supporters stay out of elitist behavior, a great and calculating deception of the enemy. May humility guard their hearts and minds and give us all wisdom, Lord. We want Your truth to reign as well as Your awesome glory. And let us ever be mindful that You are in control. You see, You know, and You reign. We love You, Lord. Thanks for the miracles, signs, and wonders and thanks for Your truth. May we never depart from it in the name of anything or anyone.

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I repeatedly attend the Lakeland Revival, TACF, or any other such meeting but have not love, I am nothing. If I soak in God’s presence for five hours and have not love afterwards, I am zilch. If I get Bammed! by God resulting in spiritual drunkenness but have not love, I am nada. If I’m a leader or follower in this movement and I marginalize, demean, and condemn those who don’t understand it or who have valid concerns about it, I’m a zero, a size-18 polluting-the-River zero.
I was appalled to read of the youth pastor bawlling out Ginny Strupe for questioning the legitimacy of what Todd Bentley is teaching.
I am surprised that the youth pastor did not have a greater sense of wisdom or discernment concerning Todd Bentley’s actions during this so called revival.
I am so thankful that I no longer belong to a Charismatic church that believes the manifestations of such weird behavior, reported in this post and on other blogs, is considered to be normal.
Right away though, as I read about the people who were experiencing the same gong sound, I kept thinking, is there something in Scripture that refers to this noise?

This is satire only, but based on truth. There’s people out there caught in the snare of “River elitism” thus the article. I have experienced this firsthand and plead with those in this movement to embrace humility.
It is truly sad that people are so deceived. One lady told me tonight, that we are cursing Todd Bentley and we need to stop… Well I believe he is cursing the Body of Christ and he needs to stop… It is ill wind that dosn’t blow some good. The Good is people are thinking about Jesus and His word…the Bad is so many are being deceived.

Well I was waiting to see the backlash from these Angel worshipping meetings. Its sad that people are going deaf, (I pray its temporary) but I fear that there is a worse judgement coming. These meeting are not of God, and the sooner the people wake up to these decieving spirits the better. Pray for Todd Bentley and his followers. I bind up this false revival, and loose the true Spirit Of the Lord to open the eyes of these sleeping ones. All I have to say is read your bibles and do as the Word says…test the spirits to see if they are of God. GA Cook
This is satire based on the truth that some people in this revival are condemning people who aren’t jumping into it headfirst. Nobody is physically going deaf. Satire, satire, satire.
Personally, I’m all for God’s presence and the fire of the Holy Ghost but believe the angel Emma is a fantasy or deception.

seems as if the ear of the hearer is so atuned to Broad Deceptive devices of the Father of Lies. Many today shut their ears to the True Word, and also have become dull in their hearing. I certainly would rather it be the other way around.
I remember one early evening in Bible Study (we were in Romans), and one young gal who thought she was a prophetess began reading when suddenly I no longer could see any of the other’s faces with the exception of her’s. Such an odd firey glow about her too. My ears were silenced as I saw her mouth move and then I noticed her eyes fixed on me. I tried blinking several times to focus, but still all I could see was her, the firey glow, and the transparent images of the other 30 or so women.
What is being said here in this post may be Satire, yet the False Imitator of Christ will be made known. No darkness stays hidden in the Light of Christ. I believed at the time the Lord Jesus was giving me a warning. Although I did not understand it fully, I knew He was being a loving Friend who came to my aid in a time when I needed good spiritual guidance. I believed Him, took the warning and He led me out of there.
Like children, at times they listen to what the Spirit is saying and other times they ignore Him.
May our hearts be open to Listen to the True Word of God.
As for me, I will not allow a “minister” with witchcraft tattoos to lay hands on me or to blow his sorcery onto me. IF you look at the YouTube videos of him in Canada, he did not have as many tattoos at that time in his ministry. Then look at the videos of Todd Bentley in Florida. He now has many more tattoos of witchcraft symbols. On some of the videos he lays hands on people who are NOT worshipping God, not singing, not raising their hands, not praying, just standing there. Then after he lays hands on them, they start intense severe convulsions and weird sounds. Now, I believe in the Holy Ghost moving a person. I’ve seen it and felt it. But this is different. Very different from how the Holy Ghost moves. This is demonic, for sure! God have Mercy.
the first time i heard todd bentley speak on God tv , I heard him say ” if you want to be healed keep your eyes on me” ( Himself) .We all know we are not to keep ouronman but on the Lord Jesus Christ Himself .That made me think . After that a friend i told that i was listenig to him , gave me a lot of articules an you-tube videos to watch . I beleive this is a false revival ..The worship of angels of finances .. LOL my my my , we are so desparate we will go to any extremem to get what we want .

I find it rather alarming that the body of Christ thinks nothing of all of Todd Bentleys tattoo’s. When I first saw the video of the revival, I said well he must have had them before he got saved and then I discovered the truth. I have two children, a son 23 and daughter 20. I have informed them of the unbiblical practice of tattoo’s, or rather the marking of the body. This is extremely disturbing to say the least. I personally feel that all these tattoo’s everyone is getting is satan’s way of getting people ready to except just another type of marking of the body but this one being the “mark of the beast”. The bible tells us to come out and be separate, not to imitate the world.
Also the female angel is a very strange story indeed. I don’t understand how these christian leaders blindly follow along with questioning it. A sign of the end times is lying signs and wonders. There was a video on the internet with what they were calling the angel in the fire and yes I could see it, but why would God’s angel be dancing and moving about in a bonfire?
Furthermore, let me say, it is a very serious thing to call someone a false prophet. It should be done very carefully by discerning their messages and character. However, as Paul said, if someone comes with another gospel, another Jesus by another spirit we should expose them. Someone has to guard the sheep, especially since the pastors are filling buses, having “revivals with big screens in the churches to go see the likes of Todd Bentley.
The deluded people are saying that we are blaspheming the Holy Ghost; the Word of God says that the people attributed the Power of Jesus to the Devil and Jesus said that they had blasphemed the Holy Ghost because they attributed HIS POWER to the Devil.
So, since Todd Bentley is working under the power of demonic angels and not the power of Jesus, he, and all that are following him, are blaspheming the Holy Ghost…This is very serious. On his Fresh Fire Ministries website Bentley refer to his Lakeland, Florida, meetings as “The Florida Outpouring.”
Indeed, the website even provides “The Florida Outpouring Desktop Wallpaper.”
As noted, the website also allows you to “Sow Seed Into Revival.” Er, ’seed’ is money, of course. You can become a “Harvester Partner” ($30 min/month for a minimum 12 consecutive months or one time gift of $360 per year), a “Kingdom Builder” ($80 min/month for a minimum 12 consecutive months or one time gift of $1000 per year), or a “Global Fire Partner” ($500 min/month for a minimum 12 consecutive months or one time gift of $5000 per year).
To put this in perspective, the Lakeland Center arena is charging Fresh Fire Ministries $15,000 a day. Currently the facility has been booked through May 25th, 2008.
While few ministries can work without financial resources, the ’seed sowing’ terminology will remind lots of people of the ‘Seed Faith Offering‘ sales pitches associated with the Word-Faith movement’s Prosperity scam.
That said, a news report notes that while an offering is taken, no admission fees are charged for the Lakeland events. We should hope so. Freely you have received, freely give. (Matthew 10:8).

Nevertheless, prominent figures in the controversial renewal and revival movements frequently refer to angel sightings and to messages they allegedly receive from angels.
Hence it does not come as a surprise that — in relation to the so-called ‘revival’ at Lakeland, Florida — former Kansas City ‘prophet’ Bob Jones talks about angels, reportedly saying that an angel named ‘Winds of Change’ is bringing, well, change.
In fact, according to a ‘ministry report’ at The ElijahList — which shares alleged “prophetic words and prophecies”:
The “winds of change” angel appeared to Todd Bentley in Florida, and simultaneously to Bob Jones.

On New Year’s Eve, for 2008, God told Bob Jones that “the third wave was coming.” Todd asked Bob what the third wave was. He said that Toronto was wave #1, Pensacola was wave #2, and the third wave is the “Winds of Change”–this move of God. This move will be a global move, traveling with signs and wonders all over the world! The third wave is here!
As a sign that this wave would be released from the Northwest, Bob shared that God said in the natural world, there would be extreme “winds and storms” out of Canada and the Northwest this year. (We had these storms in the Northwest this past winter and winds even now!) These natural winds would be followed by the winds of change. There would then be a move of the Holy Ghost, where entire towns would be shut down by the power of the Spirit. Revival will come as a Northwest wind.
It was also mentioned to “set up your sail”–the “Winds of Change” are blowing!

The “Winds of Change” angel was mentioned in an article — by Bob Jones and Keith Davis — that appeared on Bob Jones’ website, and was archived in July, 2000 by the Internet Archive. The conference mentioned took place May 19-21 of that year:
In a visitation prior to this conference, a huge angel appeared to Bob stating his name – “Winds of Change”. This angelic being was accompanied with three other angels, we believe representing three churches and their leadership the Lord is desiring to join together in the bond of unity. The angel was mentioned in a December, 2000, message by Rick Joyner:
A prophetic friend, Bob Jones, was recently visited by an angel who was one of the largest he had ever seen. He said that until now we have known mostly the winds of adversity, but the winds of change that were coming would “fill our sails” as the church is about to move forward again.

‘Healing Mantles’
One minister who has confronted Bentley regarding his teachings on angels has published a 2003 letter on the subject online. Addressing Bentley, he says in part:
I have seen your video, ‘ Healing and Revival Mantles’.
There are a couple of issues there I would also challenge.
(i).“ Angels are waiting to bestow healing mantles to believers “
Really ? Which scripture supports this strange notion?
Read the Word carefully – there are none!
Are you claiming new revelation ?
New doctrine cannot be justified by someone’s dreams or visions, whether it is Bob Jones or anyone else.
The only angels that I know of that are waiting to bestow ‘healing mantles’ to humans are the demonic spirits who deceive ‘healing’ mediums and spiritists. These people can ‘heal’ too you know !
Come on Todd, you surely know that it is the Holy Spirit and Him alone, that bestows healing mantles and anointings to believers ! What you are teaching is a different Gospel !
(ii) You are even in error when you link the events at the pool of Bethsaida with the signs and wonders in Acts that were done through the hands of the Apostles in Solomon’s Porch. Solomon’s Porch was on the eastern part of the Temple until 70 AD, when the Temple was destroyed. The site of the pool at Bethsaida in Jerusalem, is north of the Temple Mount. The five porticos or porches mentioned in John 5:1-9, were part of a completely different building.!

William Branham
In an early report about the Lakeland, Florida, meetings, Bentley was asked to describe the angel he claims to have seen:
I spoke with Bentley over the telephone about the meetings and asked him how it was that the initial conference at Ignited Church, scheduled to last only five days, has now turned into extended meetings. Todd replied that weeks ago, while he was doing some healing meetings in Australia, a man from New Zealand called him saying he had “seen” the tent peg of the Lord’s being driven into the soil of Florida and that somehow he felt God was going to use Todd to facilitate that.
Bentley remembered the man’s word, but didn’t think anything of it until the second night of the Lakeland meetings when he said he saw an angel he described as carrying the “Winds of Change.”
Asking him to describe this angel, Bentley replied that those familiar with the life of William Branham would recognize the angel from being a relevant factor in his healing ministry. He felt that this angel’s appearance signaled a “shift in the atmosphere” for the meetings and felt that an openness for revival had been ushered in.

Those familiar the life of William Branham know that he was a heretic who denied the doctrine of the Trinity.
Branham’s popularity was due mainly to his ability to discern people’s illnesses. Also, many healings took place at his meetings, but not as many as were claimed. While Branham’s services were powerful – “…a legend unparalled in the history of the charismatic movement” – some question the source of his healing power:
Years ago (William Branham) told his interpreter, Pastor Ruff, “If my angel does not give the sign, I cannot heal.” Ruff noticed several features of spiritism in the work of Branham, and therefore stopped working with him. These “angels” of whom (Harry) Edwards and Branham spoke are evil spirits masquerading as angels of light. As in many areas of the occult, we are here reminded again that the devil appears as an angel of light (2 Cor. 11:14) Another evidence is the fact that neither Edwards nor Branham were able to perform cures when faced with born-again Christians who had committed themselves to the protection of Christ. In the case of Branham, I have experienced this myself. When he spoke in Karlsruhe and Lausanne, there were several believers among the audience — including myself — who prayed along these lines: “Lord, if this man’s powers are from You, then bless and use him, but if the healing gifts are not from You, then hinder him.” The result? On both occasions Branham said from the platform, “There are disturbing powers here. I can do nothing.”

Words of Wisdom To The Wise

Many of us are feeling that the next great move of God in the earth of His called out ones, will be the FULL and glorious manifestation of the glory of God in His sons. We are at that place in time where all the pieces of the puzzle are falling together. No time in the history of the church are the prophecies lining up with such great detail.
It is sad to say this, but many of the Lord’s precious people are still lingering in the Outer Courts and have not moved with the cloud as Israel did when God wanted to bring them forward on their journey into the promised land. The trumpets have been sounding, but none or very few, it seems are preparing themselves for WAR!
This morning the Lord began to minister to my heart and I am going to share these things with you, so you will not be taken in by the counterfeit move that is like the Jezebel spirit to control the Holy Spirit’s moving once again. (added here —Seen as a False FIRE.) Man always seems to put his name on a move of God. Religious men always desire for recognition and to organize and put the Holy Spirit into their programs, conventions and gatherings….This next move of God that is upon the horizon of this new day that is dawning will not come in that manner. It will come to those who wait for Him in the secret place of the chambers of their heart. These chambers are where the conception takes place. The place were sons and daughters of the Most High God are brought forth and “birthed!” But this is what the Lord said to me this morning and, I have been grieved in my heart all day, because of what I am hearing…The good news of this THIRD day is beginning to spread and people are starting to hear about it. What is so very unfortunate is unclean vessels are taking the message and running with it and twisting its purpose to gratify the flesh and the money changers that are still in the temple today. When the Lord is ready to fill His temple with his awesome presence in the fullness of the Godhead, the FIRE will fall like it did on the Day of Pentecost in the upper room and when Solomon’s temple was finished. Those who were there on that day of Pentecost in the Book of Acts chapter two are a type of those who desire and delight in the Lord. A people who hunger and thirst for righteousness and are of one mind and one accord seeking his presence to be free them of all of their old ways (added here of their and our flesh and carnal ways.) To know Him, Christ in the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings and being conformable unto His death….Counting as Paul did all things as dung that we might know Him in this power of a resurrected life, walking in the fullness of His presence in us! Not for what He can give and the thrills of sensational experiences, and material gain, fame and recognition, but for who He is, Holy and all righteous, deserving our praise and admiration for His Christ Jesus and the Father’s majesty and all goodness and mercy He our Lord has graciously shown us!
THE FIRE OF GOD WILL FALL ONCE AGAIN!
Added here, but not the way man thinks it will come..The Lord is going to do a sudden work in his called out water washed and Holy Spirit cleansed and purified and refined vessels of honour, vessels that have made themselves ready for his appearing. A people that he, the Lord knows and that know him that have died out to the old man of our flesh. In no other way will our God share his glory with man…Do not be fooled by false signs and wonders, because they will come. The fire of God will fall once again, but it will fall upon the humble and broken and contrite ones that have sought the Lord with clean hands and a pure heart. The Lord will not pour out his glory upon unclean vessels, no matter how hard man tries to conventionalize this last moving of the Lord’s Spirit to restore the Father’s glory to this latter day house! Beware my brothers, Beware my sisters of the counterfeit move to organize this awesome moving of My Spirit, saith the Lord. I shall come and when I come it will be to endue My people with Myself. I, the Lord have manifested Myself in measures in places likened to Azua street in the past. These were a simple people that had no main speakers or did they want any. They were broken and humbled, waiting in prayer and anticipation for My moving upon them…It shall be the same way in these final days that are upon you. I will visit the humble and the contrite ones with My presence and they will arise as “little” trees with no big titles or names of man to exalt their position or places of ministry. These will be the ordinary housewives, the ordinary bakers and business men, lame and the base, the weak and the most unlikely in the eyes of the undiscerning ones. Young boys and little girls that love Me with the whole heart. I have trained them well on the back side of the desert and they know not to take flattering titles for if they did their maker would soon take them away. I have warned you, because I am coming as the former and the latter rain unto your earth! I am coming in the rain to refresh My people and even this day I am giving you hope…For hope and faith in My faithfulness, will bring you through everything that besets you at this so critical a time in the history of the church. Rise up and above the circumstances that seem impossible for with Me, all things ARE POSSIBLE IF YOU BELIEVE…
THE DAY IS APPROACHING AND IT IS TIME FOR US TO WAKEN OUT OF OUR SLUMBER. THE MIDNIGHT HOUR IS HERE AND THE LIGHT IS DARKENING OVER THE WORLD OF UNBELIEF. The signs of a decaying morally and every other way society in the many nations of the world including America are becoming evident to those with godly discernment. But know that the wise have heard the cry and have prepared extra oil which is the light of the Holy Spirit in their lamaps as well as their vessels and they will not be left out when the door is shut! Hear and make preparations now for the hour is very very late…

It has been awhile since I was led to post this above message on the InJesus site The House of David. Today we are much much closer to the fall of Babylon and those who have an ear to hear have come Out of Her as they see that Her plagues are nearing their fulfillment, suddenly to fall in one day. Revelation 18:4- to the end of the chapter.. The false prophets have caught many in their web of deceptions and this is unfortunate as many will suffer great lose when the true persecution comes to America and it will come and is coming now…..America has fallen from God’s grace and has become another harlot in types, who has prostituted her wares for a mess of postage. The people of this nation will know that the Almighty God has spoken when their freedom as it were lifestyle is taken from them and they no longer will be a free people as they have been brainwashed to believe… The false teaching and teachers of this end time day have caught many into the web of their great deceptions of wresting the scriptures to their own destruction, It is because the majority of the people reject the message of any kind of suffering and taking up their own personal cross in Jesus Christ and being rejected and hated as Jesus Christ was by the religious of his day. It is no different today. And it behooves one, to see all the truth that is mingled in with the false words and prophecies with little or no fear and reverence for God that are coming across the Internet and Television. There is just enough truth with the false mingled ones in them to deceive the very elect if it were possible…Because most, do not check out and see if what they hear and read lines up with the written Word and the living Spirit of the words of truth written for our learning and safety. Added here do many try the spirits to see if they are of God or not?
I feel to reprint another message that the Lord led me to print some months back. Read it and think and ponder over it’s words…There is a message here that needs to be taken seriously as well. It isn’t too late yet but soon the door of the ark will close once again and woe unto them who linger in the Outer Court with no fear of the Lord.
I write this because it is true, and those who love the truth and who honor the Lord and love His word will agree with what is written here.
Heed well these words, for they are life to all that find them and health to all their flesh. I am coming suddenly to My temple and those who wait for Me shall not be ashamed nor will they be disappointed in Me and My faithfulness to them. My glory is yet to be revealed in clean vessels, vessels of mercy that have been prepared afore time by a very hard path in learning of My ways. They will carry my glory which is my presence to the nations that have not heard of My fame…It is written and I will not share My glory with strangers that profess to know Me, but do not the things written in My word. These who are the lawless ones, the transgressors and those who work iniquity will not be written in the writings of MY book, saith the Lord. For when I called they refused when I spoke they hearkened not for they went their way as a flock that did not heed My words and correction to become partakers in My holiness. (Proverbs 1:22-32; Proverbs 29:1)
These will suffer great lose and when THAT DAY fully comes, they will know that it was I, the Lord that spoke these words…For mine, I know and another and an uncertain trumpet sound they will not follow for they know My voice from all strangers and other trumpet voices…Be of good courage, you who have paid all to follow the Lamb who is of My Son Jesus Christ, who paid all for you. You will know the joy of My salvation given to you who overcome and are given a total deliverance for the whole man, spirit, soul and body that shall be preserved blameless unto the coming of My Son.The coming that is now ready to be revealed in this last time. The day that is about to fully dawn in the splendor will reveal all for there is nothing hidden that shall not be seen and heard and shouted upon the house tops!

Hello all… In the spirit of the most glorious outpouring that is happening in Lakeland, I hereby declare that this is the Month of the New Word… Here’s how it will work. The Lord will speak 25,825 words per day to me, words I shall hastily transcribe. At the end of the month we shall have a new Bible. We won’t have to worry about textual criticism or that annoying beast of hermeneutics. In fact, at the end of this New Word I shall write an appendix instructing each person who reads the book how to make it say whatever suits them. And, most important, how to write their own version the next time I arbitrarily enact a Month of the New Word. So be thinking about what you find wrong with the Old Word. The chance will finally be yours to change it!
This past week I attended a IHOP meeting in a town not far from where I live. They are telling about the head of this States IHOP’s bringing prayer cloths with the Florida Revival “annointing” on them for use in all the States IHOP ministries. The meeting I attended did not have this cloth present. Sitting in the public seating, I found I was getting very uncomfortable and moved to the back of the church and into a open faced closet sat down on my chair there, and began to pray. The Spirit of the Lord had me open my bible and it was Isaiah chapter 1. This chapter talks about those whom God is coming for in the last days. It is a warning against not showing love and loving as Jesus did. It is about humility, and taking care of widows and orphans and the imprisioned and those who are thirsty. It is a reference to the FRUIT Of the Holy Spirit, not the gifts that is of the importance. It is about giving of self and suffering for Christ sake until the end. The focus is on the fruit. I agree that the spirit that will rule these revivals will either be, that of God’s Son, Yesuha, the humble sacrifical lamb or the selfish, selfcentered, selfimportant ,demonic, controlling spirits.
I was in Florida in 2001-2002 in the Lakeland,and Clearwater areas. I can tell you that even then there was a powerful deception going on there and when I returned north, I told my believer friends, that the one message that the Holy Spirit gave me was that a HUGE DECEPTION was coming to the Christian community in the entire United States. The flesh was tempted, and the sorrows increased in my life. I never in my life have seen such a terrible backstabbing and crushing of peoples spirits as I had when I left there and returned north. The people are vunerable to filling the flesh rather than filling the heart with God’s love. I have been in the cave of prayer since and never will join a church again with the deception I see still prevelant. Pastors that never have been at a Passover service, never have had a revelation and Holy Spirit led, enlightment of the truth about our national disgrace in Washinton, DC., the Masonic buildings and layout of that cities streets and the allegence of most presidents and politicians to the Occult, whilst claiming to be devoted Christians. Something to think on and pray about.
Insightful, Vivian… There definately is a great deception going on… And I’m not talking about the denominations who have sold out to liberal theology. I’m talking about evangelicals whose desire for an experience outweighs their desire for God. They are so hungry for a spiritual experience that they are opening themselves up to demonic powers.
I want a true revival that focuses on the heart, on repentance, and on true change. Not one that deceptively preaches that everything is going to be ok. Of course our hope and faith are in Christ, and we certainly have security and strength in Him. For that reason we need not fear. But we must be wise and discerning of the times, and realize that a great depression and judgment is coming upon America for generations of disobedience.

All those who have suddenly gone deaf need to present medical verification-just like those who said that they were healed. Satan is the master of lies and can do it on both ends. Obivously the “revival” has gone under severe attack by man and demons. Too much laughter and not enough intercession is probably the cause. At any rate, let us all learn and grow from it all.
